Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I have grown up to this age but never heard of such humanitarian aid done by GiveDirectly, where beneficiaries are given such huge amount of cash transfers and are allowed to decide on themselves what to spend on. Actually the moment when i received my transfer i was very happy, being the first time to receive/get such amount and knowing that would lessen poverty level in my family
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I never thought of having an improved house with iron sheets in my life because there was poverty in family. In addition food, clothes and other groceries were far from reach as i did not have reliable sources of income, being in the village where we only rely on subsistence farming. Today there is a very big difference because i have a good house and also clothes and other basic necessities are available all because of Givedirectly
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
When i received my transfer i made sure that i should spend it only on things i have been longing for and are accepted. Therefore i bought iron sheets for a new house i want to build soon, mattress and i saved part of the transfer.
