How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Currently I am delighted seeing that together with my husband we started a produce business that is supporting our family in many angles such as feeding, medication, fees for our children, among others. Prior to getting this transfer, my husband worked together with his father (selling veternary drugs) to support our family. This did not help much since he had to share the money with his father.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GiveDirectly has done well by bringing a smile on my face through the transfer that I got. GiveDirectly has done nothing bad in my opinion.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to buy produce such as millet that I plan to use to start a business. I then bought food stuffs to stock such as five bags of maize and one bag of cassava. I also bought a bed, mattress, and clothes.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means that I will plaster my house because rats can enter and start digging holes in the floor. The balance of the money I will use it to purchase oxen. Right now we cannot dig a big portion in the garden because we use hand hoes and this has made us not to have enough food in the house.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest part of the day is Lunch time. It is the time that I chat with my family when they are all around.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest hardship is lack of oxen for ploughing since I cannot plough or dig a large piece of land using handhoe. People who have oxen hire them out for a fee.
