Over tha past four months, I have managed to buy a few household items such a cupboard and a water storage barrel. Theses items may not be much but they are of great importance to me. The barrel now helps me to store more rainwater, therefore, I don't have to go to the river as often as I did before while the cupboard has been important in keeping my utensils safe and away from dust. It has also improved the general look of my living room which now does not look as empty as before.

Now that the transfers are soon coming to an end, I wish to start a small business that will sustain me even after the project is over so that I do not go back to depending on my husband financially. I have plans of opening a grocery shop in the nearby shopping centre and I need to buy a stall before I can bring in the groceries. These transfers will help me buy the stall and bring in the opening stock and I will take it from there.

Over the past four months, I have not invested much of my transfer in anything tangible but I can say that they made my daily life much easier. This is because during the past four months, there was a terrible drought which caused an increase in food prices making it hard to afford three square meals a day. My family did not quite feel the effects of that tough season because my transfers supplemented the earnings from the sales of my farm produce to allow us to afford decent meals during that period.

I hope that in the next six months, the business I am currently planning to start will be up and running. I would be so pleased if the project ends when I am already financially stable so that I can keep supporting my husband with financial obligations and also keep the financial independence that I have enjoyed over the past one and a half years.

I have managed to buy a few household items such as water storage items in the past few months with the help of GD transfers. These drums have improved my general life because I no longer have to travel a long distance to fetch water during the dry season as I can now store more water. This will also save me a lot of money that I usually spend on water which I can channel on other household needs.

My plan at the moment is to be able to construct a kitchen where I can be cooking. I mostly use firewood to cook which emits a lot of smoke and quite uncomfortable especially if it is the main house that is being used. Whenever possible, I usually cook outside the house, but lately, it has been almost impossible due to the rains forcing us to bare the smoke and the discomfort because we have to eat. I have already started buying the necessary materials and plan to keep doing so until I have enough to construct the kitchen.

Lately, there has been a lot of peace in my family because we both have money of our own and I don't have to constantly argue with my husband over family provisions. I have taken the responsibility of providing for my family fully and given my husband the freedom to provide only when he feels like for the sake of peace in my family. This has all been made possible by the business that I started using GD transfers.

My prayer is that I will have constructed the kitchen in the next six months so that my family can be safe from the toxic smoke inhaled during meal preparation. Having a separate house will also give me more space in the main house as I will have enough space to store the kitchen items in the new house. I will also have an easy time keeping my firewood dry and have fewer struggles during the rainy season.

Four months ago I never had enough money to buy food for the family but today I can be proud to say that my family can never lack because of the cash I get every month from GD.

I plan to save so much cash that will enable me to pay school fees for my son who will be joining secondary school in the not so far distance. I know that if I do not making enough savings then I will strain so much in looking for the admission fees which is always very high.

The biggest difference is that I have been able to buy enough new iron sheets that i will use to build a new kitchen. I have been able to accumulate a total of five iron sheets that I will use to erect a new kitchen structure. I have always had the desire to build myself a descent kitchen but I have never been able to do so due to lack of enough finances.

I expect to start a small scale business such as starting a shop within the village which will add more income to me and my family. I used to run a shop business in the past but it collapsed at some point so I think this is the best time to revive my business.

I have always struggled to raise school fees for my daughter and she has always been on and off school because of school fees but since I started receiving this transfer, she has never been sent home for school fees.

I would want to start up a business.

I have always wanted to have a cooking place since I do cook outside and it's a challenge when it rains but now I have a kitchen, I have solar system, I don't buy kerosene anymore and my child has always been in school.

Apart from my earlier goals, I would want to plaster my house.
