How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My new goal is to cover my son's graduation expenses. By the Grace of God my son graduated from K2 and was promoted to grade 1 so I thought it wise to make him feel special. Additionally, a portion of my transfer was also spent on additional building materials for my house project that was already ongoing before Give Directly came in.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Initially, I was building my house with mud to mud which was also a constraint for me because I never had the money to fast track the process. When Give Directly stepped in, I decided to change my whole plan to cement to mud to make it more solid. I'm grateful that Give Directly has helped me to be part of this opportunity, they have brought so much relief to me and I'm grateful. What I dont love about Give Directly is there were some people who are really in need that was left out, it brought sorry to my heart. Up to now some people recieved phone but have not recieved money also.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
My recent transfer was spent on my son's graduation, his fees, gown and other things like foodstuff I bought to celebrate with him and make him feel special. The remaining portion was spent on five bags of cement for my building project that is in progress.
