How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
In the next five years I want to see my life improve financially through business. And aslo want to educate my children to the fullest and see them graduates from high school up to university levels.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Givedirectly do good by checking on us every time to make sure we received our transfer correctly. Their staff can't eat or drink from us and it make us feel different.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I was working with the ministry of health for 5 year until I was pention in 2020.After my pention thing got really bad on my family because I was the only one financially stable at that time. I started engaging into farming but it was easy for me to cultivate large portion of farm to produce crops to sustain our selves. I used Givedirectly money to buy a motorcycle for my son to do transport business. With the help of this transport business and the profit we will be able to educate and support our family.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I have two of my children in school. One of which is in the 10th grade and the other in 6th grade. Their fees have not been paid completely. In the coming years and beyond, I hope to save enough money to be able to pay their fees until they complete their High School education. I also hope that a year from now, I will have a decent structure built for my family and I.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
As far as I have seen, GiveDirectly always make follow-up on us, handle problems properly whenever they arise in households in the community and make sure to educate us on how to solve some of those problems. I also have noticed that the material they issue us including the phones always function properly and not much problem is faced when using them.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Upon receiving my first transfer from GiveDirectly, I started my house renovation. I have changed my roof and plastered two of the rooms in the house. I intend to use the recent transfer to do the plastering and painting of the entire house. I will also use the balance to pay my children remaining school fees and maintain it for them to get good education for a better future.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
The transfer will be used to pay my children's school fees and renovate my house as my house is getting old and need few patches here and there.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I was so happy when i got back in touch with my son with whom i lost contact for ten( 10) years. He came back home two days ago.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I am very much challenged with paying my children's school fees, the kids are going higher from one class to the other and as this happens the fees get more expensive thereby making it more challenging as we go, i no more work like i used to and the business that i do doesn't have much profit.
