How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My new goal for this second transfer is to build a house. My first payment was used to pay my children's school fees, so I am now focused on this new goal.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Givedirectly helped by lifting us up when we were falling. They have done well in making our lives better. There is nothing they do that is wrong.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought two bundles of zinc to start my project. I saved the rest of my money to later pay workers to build my house.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
"I have always burn coal and other hard labor (farming) to support my children in school. Schools often throw my children out because of unpaid fees. So when I receive this money, I will use it to support my children in school. I believe that education will guarantee a good future for them and help me in my old age".
What is the happiest part of your day?
My brother (who lives in Kakata) was severely sick for nearly two months. The news that he has fully recovered gave me the greatest joy.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
"My primary challenge currently is a financial challenge. Because I am currently unemployed, have to burn coal and engage in hard labor before I receive money to take care of my family.
