How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life different if l could not have received the transfer is that l could not have manage to buy materials and also to buy cows.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion give directly did very well by using Empesa as away of sending money, since it is very convenient and cheaper. I did not see what give directly did not do well.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent most of the last transfer to buy cows for my future use as l am planning to sell them in future to pay fee for my children, the remaining balance l spent to buy building materials as l am planning to build a spacious comfortable house since l am staying in a very small uncomfortable house.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent most of my first transfer to buy two bulls which will assist me during ploughing. I bought household furniture which I did not have, I bought trunk box to store my clothes. The remaining amount, I spent to pay school fees for my children who are in primary school, food and clothes for my children

When received the money, I was very happy because I had received money which enabled me to buy whatever I lacked.

The biggest hardship I have faced in my life is lack of proper house. My house is leaking and this exposes me to harsh weather conditions.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening when I get paid for some casual labor that I offer and buy food for my family.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means a lot of happiness and joy in my life and family as a whole. I would like to built a spacious house that can comfortably accommodate my family members. I would also like to buy a cow and start some small scale business.
