How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I would have been sad If I had never received these transfers because a lot of people's lives have changed for the better. It would have been bad for me to watch my friends make progress while I am just in the same state.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Firstly it is an honour that I have been considered in this program. When I receive the cash, I will finish constructing my house. I will buy bags of cement and iron sheets so that I for the first time in my life sleep in iron sheets corrugated house. If I will have some change, it will be used to buy food for my family as well as kitchen utensils.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Iam basically happiest in the evening because i do eat food with my family. We usually afford one meal per day and that is in the evening.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
For a long time now, I run out of food before the next harvesting season. As a result iam hit hard by hunger almost every year. I do not harvest enough food because I grow maize but cannot afford to buy fertilizer as I have no means of raising money for the same.
