What do you plan to do with the cash transfer?
I plan to buy a plot worth USD1081 in Mbale District in Bugonkho which is a flat area suitable for settlement. I also plan to secure a cow of USD405 which will in the long run multiply and enable me to build a good house in my plot and also pay school fees for children. The balance of USD405 will support me to start up a coffee business which will help us to raise daily income to cater for basic needs and emergencies.
What is the happiest part of your day?
During Christmas season, we enjoyed alot by having fun and eating variety of things together as a family which keeps us to continue having strong relationships as family members. Another thing that made me happy, despite the fact that we have been struggling to pay school fees for one of our sons, he performed very well and he is taken on Government sponsor which is to release us from stress and plan for things to improve on our income.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest challenge we face currently is landslides which destroyed our gardens leaving us limited sources of food hence having only two meals a day. It continues to threaten us by developing cracks which keeps us worried that we may be swept away.
