What did you spend your third transfer on?
I used a larger portion of the transfer to built a new iron roofed house because the one I had was in a sorry state. I also bought chairs since the ones I had were too old.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that I now live in a stable house which I believe won't go down any day soon. I couldn't have manage to establish a new house due to financial inadequacy.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
What GD does well is that it identify the poor and try to lift their livelihood up to match the rest of the community. I think what GD should also do is to educate the recipients on financial management.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my transfer on building a new house because my other house was very old and in bad condition. I then bought a new sofa set because I did not have proper seats for my guests. I then spent the rest in buying clothes for my children and my whole family.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
I have seen great changed, I am especially happier because my life is more comfortable.

I spent my first transfer on buying a matress @3,500KES, a bed @4,000KES, and maize for household consumption.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
We're planning to spend our transfer on investing in farming by buying farm equipments like water pumps and pipes for irrigation, we'll also use part of it to buy glass windows for our house and use the remaining amount to buy one cow to raise.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement we're proudest of is having saved money from a small business we had few years back and used the money to educate one of our child through secondary school.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship we're facing is on lack of farming tools, we rely fully on farming which can only be reliable when right equipment and tools are available.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning when I'm cultivating in the farm. We grow rice and maize.
