How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The biggest difference in my life is that my family now take all three meals of the day. Initially we would go to bed on empty stomachs and could really do nothing about it. But now we have food in the house and will soon be moving house once construction is done. For that I am grateful.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion what Give Directly does well is give these funds to poor people like myself to realize some of our little dreams. That is all I can think of at the moment pertaining to the organizations' work
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent my money on more iron sheets, door frames, and other small building materials. I also bought maize as it is my family's staple. With these funds I am motivated to build myself a nice house as my current is a mud house that is too small for my family.
