What did you spend your third transfer on?
The roof of my main house had turned old and therefore when I received my third transfer, I replaced the old iron sheets with the new ones worth 24000 KES. At the same time, I receive the money the moment my 2 children in a secondary school had been sent home for school fees and therefore they were staying at home while the rest were in school so I sorted them out-clearing for them the whole year school fees. I am happy that as we talk, they are in school learning.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been if I never received the transfer because, I cleared the whole year school fees for my 2 children in a secondary school and therefore I felt the relief. I can say that before receiving this money, it was hard sustaining their education. And again, I am pleased with the step I have made, moving from a house of old and leaky iron roof to living in a house made of clean and new iron sheets.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion what Give Directly does well is allowing participation into the program voluntary but it does not do well by failing to revisit us to observe steps we have made in life.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
Firstly, we plan to use part of the transfer to pay school fees for our children, one of them is joining form three next year, while the other one we expect to join form one next year. Secondly, we intend to use another part of the transfer to install steel doors and windows for in our house. Lastly, we plan to use the remaining amount to buy a cow, that would provide us with milk for family use, and also that would be as an investment for our family.
