How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was in that, I no longer bother my husband with so many expenses. My business is doing well because I sustain it with the monthly transfer. I am able to get enough profit to cater for my needs. I am glad that we no longer quarrel over money issues anymore. I must say our home is more peaceful and happy because of these transfers.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal is to boost my business. I want to make sure that I store most of the goods in demand so that I can attract more customer. I don't want to go back to doing casual jobs or burning charcoal in order to earn a living. It is usually a tiresome job with very few returns. I want to invest well so that I won't suffer again after Give Directly have finished their project in this village
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my life in the last four months is that I was able to buy enough utensils. I had a few ones and whenever I had more visitors, I could borrow utensils from neighbors. This was embarrassing because they would at times refuse to assist thinking they would get lost or mix with other peoples utensils. I had to work hard and ensure that I buy some. Seeing my shelf with enough utensils makes me a proud woman. I just feel good because I won't be borrowing utensils any time soon
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
My expectation in the next six months is to buy goats. They give birth very fast and they are highly marketable. I can rely on them as a source of income since they also require less attention. I will be selling some of them in order to take care of my goals and needs

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
With the business that I was able to start, my life has definitely changed in the last four months as I am now financially stable and independent. I have my own income and no longer have to depend on my husband financially. I have also managed to buy a goat in the past four months which to me is a good investment that I will always have even after the project is over.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My only goal at the moment is to expand my business by buying new products that I currently don't have and bring in more stock of the items I currently sell. I want this business to grow so that when the time comes for the project to end, I will not feel the pinch I will have somewhere to get my own money. The thought of having to depend on my husband financially also motivates me to keep aiming high for this business because I would not wish to go back to that state.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
I recently started a small business to boost me financially and save me from always asking for upkeep money from my husband which was not quite pleasant. This business has been a lifesaver as I am now independent and able to buy my own things at my own time without having to on my husband. This has also brought a lot of peace in the house as we no longer quarrel as we did before when I would always accuse my husband of just refusing to give me money whenever I asked.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect that in the next six months, my business will have grown to the level that I am currently picturing it to be. This will maximize my profits and give me the opportunity of buying what I need such as household items which I am seriously in need of such as decent utensils which I currently have to borrow from my neighbours whenever I have visitors.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from the way it was four months ago in that there is no peace between my spouse and I. This is because currently, I can meet most of my needs on my own without relying on my spouse. In addition to that, I can finally communicate at ease in a low tone while talking on the phone. This is because I managed to purchase a new handset with the most recent transfer.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My spouse has not paid my dowry and as a woman, I feel ashamed and it lowers my self-esteem living with the fact that I have been staying with a man for 19 years, yet he has not paid my dowry. I, therefore, have an additional goal of purchasing cows that my spouse will pay as my dowry.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Receiving the transfers have enabled me to be independent thus I have been able to meet most of the needs that I couldn't meet previously. This has enabled me and my spouse to be at peace because I no longer rely on him for everything as it was the case before. We could, therefore, fight a lot especially when he couldn't afford what we needed in the family.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect that we'll have raised enough money that my spouse will use to pay my dowry. This will make me proud as a woman.
