How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I have decided to build my own house. I am presently living in my son's house since my house broke down two years ago. I had the plan of building a new house but never had money to do so due to lack of money. I am a farmer and that has been my means of survival. And I also wanted to do business,so I started selling frozen chicken when I started receiving transfers from GiveDirectly. Receiving this financial assistance from GiveDirectly means a lot to me. It will enable me to build my house and add my business up.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was home when I received my recent transfer from GiveDirectly. I was so excited! I started dancing and praising God for receiving a huge amount of money that I haven't handled since my youth days. I am old and living in a tarch house and wanting to do a business for some years now.I was unable to achieve my dreams because of financial crisis. "By the grace of God if I am selected to benefit from Givedirectly cash gift, I will build my own house. Currently, I am living in one of my children houses since the death of my husband".
What is the happiest part of your day?
The only thing that have brought me joy thus far is when someone offers me or when I plan my crops and it produce. There is nothing more than that except the life God had given me.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
"Currently, my major problem is my inability to do something that I really think it is profitable for me but due to the lack of finance, I am unable. Right now, I sleep almost on the ground. It is due to some of these that my eyes are painting and don't have the money to settle them".
