Give directly did well for me, by changing my living condition through this transfer. By taking me from mat to a very big mattress. I am so happy.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My new goal was to renovate my house because, my roof been damage for the past four months and I didn't have money to start the renovation process.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Givedrectly is doing well by helping to improve the live of the needed. They are transferring money to our mobile money accounts with out asking us to payback. I can tell anything that Givedrectly is not doing well because, I haven't seeing or notice anything that they not doing well.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought two bundles of zinc, five packs of wire nails, five packs of zinc nails, food and pay labours to cut sticks, to start building my house.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was very happy when I received the money. I had so many problems to solve but didn't have money, including improvement of my house. So I was very happy about the transfer because I will be able to buy zinc to improve my house.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I have been burning charcoal just to be able to buy a bundle of zinc over a year now but the money yet to reach bundle of zinc price but give directly just solved my problem. I am awaiting my balance transfer to be able to buy my zinc.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I want to get all my full payment before spending the money. I have a plan to improve my house before buying anything else.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I plan to increase my little business with the cash transfer. Since the death of my husband my only source of income is the little business I'm doing, and it has been my dream to increase this business but due to financial constrain I have not been able to do so.
What is the happiest part of your day?
What brought Joy to me is the time I visited my children in August, because since the death of their father they left they didn't come back and I couldn't communicate with them that which worry about their well being, but my greatest joy was going to see them in good health and I have good time with them.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The challenges I'm face with is financial constrain, at times I plan to do farming but I can't afford to paid people to do my clearing, and in this community I'm living you can't ask for assistant to do these things for that I don't even have a bath room and a kitchen because no one to build them for me and I can't afford the cash to paid someone to build them.
