How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My daily life is much better because I can now afford to buy Agricultural inputs (seeds) in large quantities. I'm sure of food security in my home. Prior to this transfer, I faced a challenge of food insecurity because I could farm in small quantities. In addition, I'm able to pay school fees for my 3 children who are now in private school. My children can now access better education. Before this transfer, I could not afford better performing schools. I was forced to enrol them in a Government school which had teachers with low commitment.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has done well by giving me money for paying school fees, Agricultural inputs and clothes for my children. GiveDirectly has also enabled many people in my village to build iron roofed houses. Before, I t was only a few people who were able. GiveDirectly has not done anything wrong.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I bought clothes, food (beans), Agricultural inputs (seeds), paid school fees for my 3 children, transport. There is a balance which I'm planning to spend on building my iron roofed house.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The fact that I have the money that will be helping me to construct a bigger permanent house has waived off all the worry that I had as this house will accomdate absolutely any thing and all visitors. The house I currently use is small and can not accomodate more people or produce when harvested. Hence, the biggest difference in my life.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
Receiving my money at the moment filled me with joy. This is so as GiveDirectly had fullfilled it's promise of giving us the unconditional transfers.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent part ( Ugx 200000) of my first transfer to buy some household items like utensils, clothes and food. I am saving the balance of my transfer (Ugx 1492000) in my mobile phone as I plan to spend it on building a bigger permanent house.
