How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has improved because I'm sleeping comfortably in my permanent house. Before, I slept in leaking grass thatched hut. In addition, I have acquired a radio for listening to news and music during my leisure time. In the past, I did not know what was going on in the world.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has done well by enabling me to build permanent houses and buy cows. GiveDirectly has not done anything wrong.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I have bought clothing/ household goods(curtains), food, saved and leisure (Alcohal ). There is a balance of 1,000,000 which I'm planning to spend on Livestock(cow) and food.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my life is that, I'm now happy because I'm going to sleep in a better house not again in agrass thatched hurt which is leaking.

The moment I received my money, I felt happy because my plans of building a house was achieved.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I have spent my first transfer to purchase building materials ( bricks at UGX 950,000, sand at UGX 200,000, cement at UGX 81000 , timber at UGX 96,000 household goods/ clothes 12000 gift at 11000 and there is a balance of UGX of 50,000 which I plan to spend on food.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means a big blessing to my life. This is because, this money will enable me build an iron roof house and also cater for my medical bills.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Morning time is my happiest part of the day. Waking up healthy and being able to see a new day makes me happy.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest hardship is lack of money to establish a comfortable iron roof shelter at my old age.
