How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Had I not received the cash transfers, hunger would have erased my family. More so I would still be struggling financially with no money to treat my family.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly does well to give people unconditional cash transfers that have empowered them. On the otherhand, I do not have anything wrong that I have observed about GiveDirectly.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to purchase three cows worth UGX 1,550,000 and a goat worth UGX 50,000.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in daily life is that my house is looking beautiful. I get profits from the business I started and I can afford basic needs like food, soap and many more.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received the transfer, I became very happy.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer for buying house hold items(bed, mattress and bedsheets). The rest of the money I put in business as capital.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means to buy oxen and ox- plough. I will be ploughing my gardens to plant crops with the oxen hence increasing on food availability for the family.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of the day is afternoon. It's atime i relieve my stress by chatting with neighbours.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest hardship is insufficient amount of food to feed the family.
