What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought some bags of cement and sent money for my children school fees. Some are attending university in Monrovia while others are here going to high school.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GiveDirectly transforms lives, gives people hope and help make their dreams come through. There can't be anything I will say or even think about that GiveDirectly does not do well.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I already have a house so my main goal is to renovate it and make some significant improvement. My children are also in school so seeing them through school at all cost is another goal I intend to achieve.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My main challenges are lack of money and food. As a single mother, I am really finding it hard to earn money, as a result, we usually sell the rice from the farm inorder to generate funding for my children school fees and after selling the rice, we are left with nothing for food. Some time, I have to visit some relatives and beg them inorder to have food for my family and I. Going to my relatives in search of food or begging for food is a serious embarrassment and a great challenge to me.
What is the happiest part of your day?
What brought joy to me this year was when my son that is in Monrovia going to school called me and told me that he got promoted to the eleventh grade really made me happy because, I am the only one struggling to pay his school fees and his promotion to the eleventh grade gives me more motivation. After this good news about his promotion, he called me and informed me about this academy year fees and I was worrying how was I going to get money and fortunately for me, one of my late husband brothers gave my son money to register for this academy year and that also brought me so much happiness.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
If I am successful to receive the transfer, I will use some of the money to pay my children school fees and if there will be balance, I will use it to plastered my house. I have planned to pay my children school fees with my transfer if I am successful because, as a single mother, I struggle to make farm and I usually sell the rice from the farm that were meant for eating because I don't have any sources of income and at the end, we struggle again to have food. So, the transfer will be a great help for me because I will not be forced to sell our food inorder to generate school fees.
