The new plan right now is to look for building materials such as iron sheets, sand, and cement which will go a long way in helping me get a new house. I always face a lot of challenges when I go back home because I am forced to seek for refuge from my relatives and cousins who keep hosting me even though I normally feel so uncomfortable.

The biggest difference for me I would say is that I have been using the transfers to take care of my daily needs at school which includes buying books and food, which means that I do not have to rely on my grandparents for financial assistance.

I do not expect many changes because for one I only use the transfers to take care of my daily financial needs at the university where I have to be buying food from breakfast all the way to supper time.

Life hasn't been as challenging as it previously used to be because, through the transfers from Give Directly, I have been able to comfortably raise money for my upkeep in the university. This has really motivated me thus I have been concentrating on my studies more. Before, I could sometimes sleep hungry for lack of funds to buy food and this really affected my school life because I could not concentrate in class.

Since I am still depending on my parents for most of my needs, I want to take advantage of this to start saving the transfers that I will be receiving in the next few months with the ultimate view of buying a cow. I am hopeful that by the time I will be graduating, I will have additional cows in our home.

I am orphaned, so I live with grandparents who have always been very supportive and they have been paying my school fees. Raising school is an uphill task for them since they do not have a reliable source of income. And so the upkeep and pocket money too was not always forthcoming since they barely had any money. I am happy that through Give Directly, I have been able to raise money for my upkeep in school without relying on grandparents.

My expectation in the near future is to have saved enough money to buy a cow for rearing. My prayer is that once I graduate in three years time, I would have some cows to start my life with. With this, I hope I would lead a better life because I have plans of selling one of the cows in the future in order to raise money for constructing my house.

I can say that I have been using the money to buy food for myself on a daily basis here at the co9llege. Once my parents pay my school fees, it becomes my responsibility to ensure that I have enough money to feed myself throughout the semester.

I have a goal of making sure that I make some little savings within the next four months and the reason why I want to make the savings is that I want to ensure that I have enough money that will see my dream of building a house come true.

The biggest difference is that the money has helped me in paying part of my school fees and making sure that all the pending arrears are sorted as soon as possible. When I cleared my high school, I had some balances that I had not paid and the burden was quite huge for my parents so I had to step in using the cash I have been receiving from Give Directly.

I have a long term goal of building my own house back at the village because I always face a hard time whenever I am home. In most cases, I am forced to spend my nights either at my grandfathers' place or at a friends place whenever he is not at home. In the event that the friend is at home, I am forced to look for other alternatives, and for me, this idea of jumping from one place to the next has proved to be quite hectic.

My life is currently different from how it was four months ago. I must thank GiveDirectly from saving me from the shame of owning one dress which was my school uniform that I wore in every special occasion. I used to borrow my my siblings but it would be difficult for them to assist me especially when it was an occasion that required all of us to attend. I also never owned shoes hence used to walk barefooted. Now I can afford to buy decent shoes. I want to thank GiveDirectly for coming up with the idea of helping people of my age since we mostly don't have time after school to assist our hardworking parents who are straining themselves to put food on the table.

In four months time, I will save the transfers sent to me by Give Directly every month to buy a cow. I believe a cow is easy to maintain and its value appreciates as time goes by. I will be selling milk after it is mature enough and starts reproducing. After two years time, I will be able to resell it at a higher price and use the money to pay my college fees and being that I am determined to finish school I will then continue keeping its young ones until it matures for further sale.

The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months is that the monthly transfers from GiveDirectly boosted my morale to do casual jobs in order to pick my certificate. Initially raising the full amount looked like a dream and I was almost giving up. But GiveDirectly brought the dream closer, I started working harder, saved the wages bit by bit and finally I was able to pay my arrears and take my certificate. I saved enough money and the rest that remained after paying high school fees, I was able to pay part of the college fees. In the next six months, I expect my life to change. I am planning to build a house using the help I receive monthly from GiveDirectly. I have been buying building materials every time I get the money at the end of the month. I also sleep in my step father's house which is in a bad condition, it leaks every time it rains and the pillars used in building it have broken. The house is almost collapsing. I worry that whenever their is strong wind, It can fall down. I hope it doesn't fall before the six months elapses.

The biggest difference in my daily life is that I am able to afford my own personal effects. I do not have to depend on others so much like before.

I expect my life to change for the better in the next six months as I am planning to spend some part of the money to start an income generating activity.

My life is currently different from how it would have never been had I never received the transfer in that I could have postponed joining the university for lack of money,and again were it not for GiveDirectly,I could have never cleared my high school arrears and maybe my certificate could have still been detained for not clearing the fees that was required of me.

My new goal is to build my own house. I am staying in my uncles house and so I want to have my own.
