What did you spend your second transfer on?
I have used my second transfer to buy additional construction materials such as sand, cement, ventilators among others. I used these for constructing my permanent house.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done well by giving me the unconditional cash transfer that I used to offload a lot of burdening needs. On the other hand, there is nothing bad that it has done.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that, I constructed a permanent house which was among my dream plans. Previously, I majorly spent on family needs such as tuition, food among others that left me with no money to commence the construction of this house. In addition, the house has many rooms that I intend to rent out after it's completion hence generating income for my family.

My neighbour informed me the next day, that GiveDirectly had sent us cash transfers. I rushed home to check my phone and confirmed indeed that it was true. I was overjoyed and happy because this was an opportunity for me to beautify our home.

The biggest difference is that we are sleeping on comfortable bedding. The cash transfer has transformed my home alot because it has relieved me of the burden of searching for money to paint the house and complete the construction of the house.
