Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
One of the greatest plans I have in mind is to purchase a small piece of land within the shopping centre to construct a retail shop. I am currently saving in a Sacco and I plan to secure a loan to enable me to achieve this goal. This shop will be a great source of income for my family's needs. Besides, since I have a son who recently completed college, the shop will be the best place for him to engage in as he waits to be employed elsewhere
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
I have been saving in a merry go round and within the last four months, it was my turn to receive the savings. I spent the amount I received to purchase a dairy cow. At the moment, I no longer incur expenses for purchasing milk for my household consumption as I now have enough which allows me to sell the surplus
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect my life to have changed in that, I believe I will have completed the construction on my retail shop and stocked it. Being a farmer, I will also be selling my farm proceeds such as vegetables and beans directly to consumers hence fetch a higher price as compared to selling to middlemen. The income from the shop will enable me to meet my household needs as well as save some to purchase an additional dairy cow

Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal is to save a good amount of the monthly transfer and buy a piece of land. Land is one of the greatest assets one can ever own because it always appreciates even if there is no maintenance done to it. Once I buy a piece, I plan to develop it and run my business from it. I will also lease out the rest of the space in the developed piece.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I am nowadays happy. I finally managed to purchase a healthy dairy cow. I am a proud owner of a Guernsey dairy cow and I can't keep calm. I was able to join a savings group where I was able to save enough money to buy a dairy cow. The cow just calved a few weeks ago and I am already enjoying the proceeds from the sale of milk. I attribute this development to Give Directly!
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
My expectation in the near future is to buy a piece of land of our own. We currently live in our parents' piece of land with our other relatives. Staying here sometimes leads to conflicts that may arise since we share most of the resources. Since we have different personalities and view things differently, we end up fighting each other. I am tired of this kind of life and I hope that my child secures a good job and helps us move out of this place by topping up our savings. This will ensure that have fewer conflicts because of proximity.

How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months I want to ensure that I pool resources together and be able to buy my own land. The piece of land that we are currently staying in is too small and hardly enough for us to do any kind of farming. The purchase of land will see us do some subsistence farming and ensure that we are food sufficient as a family.
