How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been if I never received the transfer because we currently reside in a new house. Accordingly, we enjoy a warmer house whose roof is not leaking, unlike the one we had before. Besides, my two daughters have ample time to study since I got sufficient funds for paying their school fees. Subsequently, they have more time to study rather than being sent home to collect arrears. Moreover, we look more presentable and happier since we have purchased new clothes. We could still be wearing torn and worn out clothes.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In your opinion, GiveDirectly does well in giving virtually all of its processes. This is because it ensures almost direct transfer of cash from the donor to the recipient through mobile money. However, GiveDirectly seems not to have done well in giving only two transfers - I wish I could get more free funds to finance other projects that we have as a family.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent 2000 KES of my second transfer on plaughing my farm in readiness for planting. Besides, I used 4000 KES on purchasing clothes and shoes for my family members. Also, I used 900 KES on purchasing maize seeds for planting on our farm. Additionally, I bought a sheep at KES 4000. Moreover, I bought paints worth KES 2000. I also purchased ceiling worth KES 4000 to be used in constructing my house. Further, I spent KES 20000 on paying school fees for my daughter who is at secondary school. Furthermore, I bought school uniforms for her at KES 5400. Since we had no maize for consumption, I bought three sacs at KES 7500. In addition, I bought a knapsack sprayer at KES 1800. Finally, I used the remaining amount on purchasing other
household items including sugar, wheat flour and toiletries

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The difference in my life is that am now free from stress as I use to think about what my children will eat. Before we would spend a night without food but now we are so happy to have three meals a day.

Receiving this money means alot to me. I will be able to pay school fees for my children with ease as well as providing them with their basic needs.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening. This is the time that all my family members are at home and we thank God for sustaining us during the day.

The biggest hardship i have faced in my life is the struggle i go through in order to pay school fees for my children as well as buying food for my family due to unemployment.
