How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My goal is to expand my mother business. For the past three months now my mother business has declined gradually all because she has too many children and grand children to care for. Now that I have received this third transfer I want to improve her business by buying enough rice and clothes to sell. This I believe will help increase her income and strengthen her enough to continuously supporting our family.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly has done good by giving money to people to improve their life. It is just by the grace of God that GiveDirectly located our village. It is through this organisation that I own a phone with a sim card for the first time in my life. So, I am too thankful for this organisation that I was able to receive money from them to support my family. However, in terms of any wrong doing, I am not really aware and I have not seen any unwell doings from GiveDirectly.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
Rice and clothes for business purpose are the things I have spent my most recent transfer on. My mother business has declined gradually and it is at the point of shorting down. She has my siblings and I to support. Even to get enough meal for the day is a serious challenge. This third transfer has brought serious relief to us. I have bought enough rice and clothes so that my mother can sell and support our home.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I am from the first of SIXTEEN SIBLINGS of a polygamous family(Father with THREE WIVES) who had struggled to go through High School and fortunately graduated from the Centos High School. It has always been my wish to forge ahead and become a MEDICAL DOCTOR but due to lack of financial support from my parents, I decided to come back home to start FISHING in order to generate money to support myself in a HIGHER SCHOOL of learning but due to the increased in the water volume and roughness of the Ocean it has been a real challenge getting fish. Upon receiving MONEY from GIVE DIRECTLY, I will immediately travel to MONROVIA to get enrolled into the UNIVERSITY of Liberia to achieve my Goal because it will be a DREAM COME TRUE FOR ME.
What is the happiest part of your day?
Seeing my brothers and sisters alive in good health always bring happiness to me.
