How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The biggest difference in my life is the school fees which I paid for my children. None of them was sent home after I cleared their school fees. As a parent I would be so stressed whenever my children were sent home to collect school fees. Give Directly enabled me to do so and I thank the organization for implementing such a project in our village.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
What Give Directly did in our village is so good in that the money is nonrefundable. On the other hand, I didn't see what went wrong with whole process and all officers involved.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
The second transfers which I received from Give Directly, I spent a large portion to pay school fees for my children. I had two children in college and two in high school. Providing for this number of children was a huge burden for us as we depend on farming. The little amount which was remaining, I spent on buying food for the family.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I am very happy and I can now see my kids who are still in school finish their education. I'll also use part of the transfer in buiding a house for my family and perhaps buy a dairy cattle. Thank you GD.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning when I wake up feeling fine, energized and ready to undertake on what the day has to offer.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Education has been a difficult need to provide for my kids. Since I value it, there are times I had to sacrifice everything possible to ensure most (if not all) finish there secondary education. I had to sell almost all of my property but still was not enough rendering others to pause studying. This for me is the biggest hardship I have ever experienced.
