How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is now different because I am currently owning three cows which I would not have managed to buy on my own cost. One of my future goals was to have at least a good source of income. I feel GiveDirectly has fulfilled this since I will be selling milk as these cows reproduce. I have a young family and hopeful that I will be in a better position to provide since will a herd of cattle.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done well in uplifting our lives which were miserable before enrollment. We have been able to provide for our families effectively, purchasing livestock as assets and most importantly, building better iron-roofed houses thus enjoying good shelter. I do not see anything that GiveDirectly does not do well.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I had been married but I had not paid the dowry since I couldn't afford at once thus upon receiving my second transfer, I used KES 30000 to buy two cows as my dowry. I lend my brother KES20000 to spend on his education so that he can repay me later. Iused the remaining amount on my households daily basic needs.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money will be of great help to me because it will help me develop myself as a young person with a family. I will be able to build a better house and but a cow so that my family will get milk to use and to sell some. That would be a siurce of income to our family.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is majorly in the midday because i have had breakfast and lunch and my evening seems promising. It just seems that the day is a success by that time.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Being young, i have not encountered major hardships not until when i got married and realized that i dont even have a cow that would provide milk to my family. When i started buying milk i found it quit expensive and a difficult thing to do but thanks to Givedirectly because it just came in time.
