What do you plan to do with the cash transfer?
When I receive this money, I'll buy my children uniforms and pay their fees. I will also buy food so that they can come home and find food. I believe when children are provided for, they do better in school so that's my hope for them. We will not have enough to buy medication and other necessities in case one is ill.
What is the happiest part of your day?
There hasn't been anything that has brought joy in my household. Rains ended quickly as a result we harvested very little. At least then, we had a variety of produce for a brief moment and then we ran out.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The challenge I meet is lack of money to educate my children. I don't often have money to pay for their school fees and also uniforms. They go to school hungry and come home to no food as well. Three of my children go to school, two are in standard 1 and the other in 5. There's no feeding program at their school so I have to provide. Which I often don't manage to. When they get sick it's a challenge as well because there's no money for medicine, and that slows down their education.
