In the next four months, we intend to pool our transfers together with like-minded neighbours so that we would raise bigger amounts. It is our plan to spent these savings on buying a heifer.

The biggest difference in the last four months is that we bought one sheep. Now we have two of them which we bought as a result of the transfers which we have been receiving from Give Directly. We joined hands together with my wife in this investment so that we would have more livestock in the near future. We made this investment that we would have an asset which in case of an emergency we would sell and cushion ourselves over pressing financial need.

In the next six months, I would have bought a heifer to add to the ones which I have presently. Having a heifer would mean that in a few months the animal will ready for service and after it calves down I will have double milk production from our farm which means we will be earning more income through the sale of milk.

My additional goal for the next four months is to start saving some money that I will use to pay school fees for my son when schools reopen. This will allow him to study well and concentrate on his studies without being sent back home. As a result of this, I am optimistic that his studies will improve because he will never be missing his classes and he will also have enough time for revision.

The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is that I have been able to build a chicken coop. I have been running a poultry keeping project for some time now and after expanding it, their house became congested since it was small. I am now happy since the congestion has been eased and I can now be able to expand this project more without worrying much. Also, I have been able to buy a goat for rearing. When it reproduces and increase in number, I will sell them and use the money to buy a dairy cow.

In the next six months, my life will have changed in that I will have cleared paying my sons' school fees. This will allow him to concentrate on his studies since he will not be sent back home. I am also hoping that I will have paid for his boarding fee so that he will not be coming back home in the evening. This will enable him to always have enough time for revision, especially in the evening.

Since this organization came to our life, I feel that I have become more responsible. I am now able to provide most of my family's needs. My new goal in the next few months is to finish building the poultry house. The biggest difference in my daily life is that I am now ambitious and goal oriented. Nowadays I have a habit of setting goals once I have achieved the ones I had planned for. For instance, I had purposed to buy a dairy cow. I chose this because it would boost me in attaining my other goals. If I take good care of this cow I will get several liters of milk which will earn me more income. I don't intend to sell the calves any time soon because I need more dairy cows. I have several other goals that will certainly be achieved after buying this cow. I thank Give Directly for giving me hope once again. I now live a happy and a promising life unlike before where I had no plans at all.

My expectation in the near future is to buy another cow. As I wait for the current cow to reproduce, I need to add more. I want to improve and expand the scale and level of farming. Proceeds from the dairy cow and the poultry farm will help me achieve this. My financial status will definitely improve with time. I will be in a different social class compared to when Give Directly had not come to my life.
