How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
For the last four months, I have been able to afford a full day's meal for my family through the GD transfers. In addition to that, I was able to pay a deposit of a solar lump which we are currently using for lighting. There is much difference because currently, I do not budget for kerosene which was expensive and at the same time it's lighting system is more effective compared to the tin lump.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Being that I used to depend on casual work as my only source of income, life has not been very smooth. The little income I get from casual work has never been sufficient to sustain and meet all my family demands. In most cases, I have always had to borrow money so that I can make ends meet. This is the reason why most cases I have never been able to provide for my family well especially on food and school fees. Many a times, I have always have to forgo food to pay school fees. Ever since I started receiving these transfers, I have always managed to budget well with the money I get so that I pay school fees and also ensure we eat in the house. I am very happy that my family has never gone without food again. Thanks to Give Directly.

The biggest difference in my life since I started receiving this transfer is that I now have a solar system. I have worked towards reducing my daily expenditure in many ways but I have never been successful when it comes to kerosene. When I started receiving this transfers, I
went and obtained a solar system which I am still paying for since I bought it on hire purchase basis. I feel a bit relieve with my daily expenditure because I direct the amount I used to spend on kerosene on other family needs.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I want to apply for a loan which I will use in buying building material. This is because I want to finally put up my own home. I have been staying in a rental house which has been very expensive. Paying rent every month is one of the reasons why I have so many debts in my life. I believe with this money, I will finally fulfil my dream and have a house I have always wanted by paying back the loan with my monthly transfers.
