Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My goal is to save enough cash that will assist in paying my daughter's school fees when she joins high school very soon. She will be sitting for her class eight national examinations next year.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
My husband passed on some years back leaving behind the responsibility of taking care of our children. This was not easy, I did casual jobs that did not guarantee a good pay at the end of the day. This did not last for long before GD's transfers came to our rescue. Now I can pay school fees comfortable and still managed to ensure that my family has a place to sleep and food to put in their stomachs. This to me is what I can undeserved favors.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I am hoping to have to build a house for my family. A place where they can call home away from the rental houses. This will give freedom to the household members.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Months ago, I had very old cushions on my seats that sitting on them, one would not tell the difference between sitting on a block of bare wood or a cushion. Within the last few months, I have managed to buy new cushions that have changed the entire look of the seats as they look newer and very comfortable.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I do not have any new plans at the moment because I have not yet achieved the goals I had previously set of constructing a new house. I have not yet bought enough materials to construct a new house outside my in-law's compound as I had planned, so I will keep spending most of the transfers on the required construction materials until I have enough and my goal is achieved.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
I am a single mother struggling to raise four children on my own. This has not been so easy because I do not earn much from the banana business that I do yet I have a lot of financial obligations. Receiving money from Give Directly has made my life bearable and reduced my struggles because the money helps in taking care of the most crucial needs of my household such as paying my children's school fees to ensure that they consistently stay in school.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I am currently living in my in-laws compound and I am required ( tradition)to move out into my own compound. This is usually a man's responsibility but since my husband is late, I have to man up and ensure this is done. I have been buying the necessary construction materials over the past months and I am glad that I am close to my goal. My current house is very tiny and in a very dilapidated state as well, so my only expectation is that in six months, I will have constructed a better house in my home.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was four months ago because my children are now going to school without getting worried of them being sent home for school fee arrears like it was back then. I am also stress free because I am now very sure of put up my home
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
When I started receiving these transfers, I had set a goal of saving the money in order to build better house. I have not managed to build the house but I have saved enough and managed to buy iron sheets for this course. Until this is done, I have not managed to have an additional goal. I hope this will happen in the next six months so that I set new goals.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I have managed to save enough money for the purchase of Iron sheets. I want to use the Iron sheets to build my own home, a home away from my parents in-law who sometimes I feel interfere with my way of living given that they have a lot of conditions. I could not raise enough money previously that could sustain my family at the same time save. I had to survive from hand to mouth. My household can afford daily food, at the same time save money for major projects like building a house.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect to have completed putting up my home and my family occupying it. I will be free to make have my own space and put up my own conditions and restrictions away from my parents in-laws, at least here in my compound, I will be able to put up a poultry project too

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was before, this is because initially, I could hustle to raise money for my family's upkeep through retail selling of sweet potatoes. On some days the sales were down this meant no food that particular day. Currently, I am assured of a stipend every end month. This allows me to budget well and hence no more sleeping on empty stomachs.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
In the next four months, my focus is on assembling building materials to help me build a home for my family. That way I will be a peaceful mother.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
When my husband passed on, he left me without a home. I had tried to raise money to enable me to build a home for my family but all was in vain because my income was not enough to save for the building project and feed my children as well. Upon receiving my recent transfers, I resorted to saving the transfers in kind by buying iron sheets. I am looking forward to start building once all the building materials are adequate.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
My expectation in the next six months is that I will have assembled enough building materials and started the construction of my home. This has been a dream come true. When my husband went to be with the Lord, I promised myself that I will build a home for my family and fulfill all the plans he had written down on a blueprint. This is one of the plans and it is underway.

Do you have any new goals that you didn't have before receiving the transfer?
I have a new goal of building my home. This was an idea I had before but since I couldn't afford it I didn't know I could achieve it at any given point in life.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is currently different from the way it would have been had I not receive the money in that I'm proud I managed to take my child back to school. If it was not for the money by now my child would still be at home and this would have given people a reason to mock me.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect to have my home so that I can be independent and have some peace.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
