The biggest difference in my daily life is over confident of properly using these transfers to improve my life and my family life as well on daily basis.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
"There are three major things on my mind for thos Cash Transfer. First of all, I would enroll all of my five children to school. As it is, none of them are attending this semester because of my low living standard which involves financial difficulties. Secondly, I intend building a house of my own. Reason being, since my both parents passed away and left me this house which I'm currently staying, I have no other place to call a home. Therefore, I'll add to my little saving I have to purchase a land and have a mud brick house constructed. Thirdly, I'll use the rest of GiveDirectly's Cash Transfer to expand my cocoa plantation."
What is the happiest part of your day?
"Nothing different has happened for me this year but I'm really grateful for an incident that could've been worse than what happened. Around late May of 2021, my little daughter had an accident while we were preparing soap on the farm. Her lips and tongue were severely affected but with time and the care provided by the nurses at the hospital, she was able to recuperate to normalcy. I'm always grateful because it would've been a major effect that would have required surgery, her situation was going to be a terrible outcome! I'm happy that God passed this other burden over me!"
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
"Mainly, I'm interested in enrolling my children in school. So, the fact that I can't afford that much is very challenging for me. Money is my main difficulty I'm being faced with as a parent. I'm a farmer, but, the money generated from the farm is not much because, I use more money on the crops than what I get in return. Unlike other counties, bitter bud, pepper, okra and other seeds are very expensive. It is so challenging to be a successful farmer when you don't have much money."
