How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I am a tailor and I mostly do repairs. The money I get from this end up being spent on pressing needs like food. I have managed to pay for my son's school fees on time. This has given me peace of mind because I know that he will not be sent home due to fee arrears anytime soon. At the same time, I have been able to buy him a uniform for him. This has improved his self esteem while relating to his classmates because he longer puts on old torn patched uniform that made him a laughing stalk in school. Currently, these are the biggest difference I have achieved for the last four months through GiveDirectly's Aid.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I am a tailor and I usually do the job in my house. Therefore, I do not have any new goals for the next four months since I am thinking of expanding my business which I currently operate by having a business premise in the nearby trading Centre where I can get more customers.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Before I only depended on casual jobs that were not reliable and paid meagerly. The best part about this transfer is that It has enabled me to handle emergencies easily without taking loans which is the daily difference that I can talk of. For instance we have three meals in a day unlike before where we could go without due to lack of money. Nowadays, my family members are healthy and happy. I really feel relieved after getting the transfers from GiveDirectly it has brought change that I wouldn't have gotten through my own efforts.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect my life to change in that, I will have a stable business by establishing this business in a busier location have to attract more customers that might translate to double profits. These profits will assist me to meet most of my family's needs comfortably even when GiveDirectly shall have phased out their projects meaning I won't gon back to desperately borrow nor rely on my friends and relatives for assistance.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was before I started getting help from GiveDirectly. Nowadays I can easily take care of my needs compared to before when I only depended on casual jobs that were not reliable and not paying well. I have also been able to boost my business and I can see progress as compared to before. My aim now is to have a business premise in the nearby trading center where I can advertise myself and attract more customers. In addition to that, my child has not been sent home of late because I cleared his fee arrears. The best part about this transfers is that It has enabled me to handle emergencies easily without taking loans. I really feel relieved after getting the transfers from GiveDirectly and I thank them for that.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I do not have any new goals at the moment. I plan to expand the business that I am doing currently. I am a tailor and I usually do the job in my house but I am thinking of having a business premise in the nearby trading Centre where I can get more customers. I think I don't have many customers at the moment no one knows what I am doing apart from my neighbors and close friends. I think if I advertise myself and look for a busy street, I will definitely get customers. I thank GiveDirectly for giving me a chance to boost my business with the transfer, atleast I now have something to start with.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life ever since I started receiving help from Give Directly is that I was able to take care of my son's needs easily. For instance, recently I was able to buy him a uniform. This is a great change because I would have just patched the torn parts. This was so embarrassing for the kid but I didn't care so much because I couldn't afford to buy a new one. He had an old uniform that I was not planning to replace until GiveDirectly came. I am a tailor and I mostly do repairs. The money I get from this end up being spent on pressing needs like food. I also managed to pay his school fees on time. This has given me peace of mind because I know that he will not be sent home due to fee arrears anytime soon and I am certain that he will perform well in his exams this time round.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect my life to change in that, I will have a stable business. I will also have identified a good location for my business where I can get more customers in the trading center. This will simply mean that most of the people will be able to see what I do hence translating to more profits. I believe that by changing my location and market myself more, in six months time I will have made several steps towards achieving some of my goals. I don't think I would have made any progress at the moment if GiveDirectly had not come to our village. I could have not even thought of moving to a busier center because I could not have enough resources to do that.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different than it was four months ago because the transfers from GiveDirectly has relieved me from stresses of raising money to support my little child. Life has indeed become simple and easy since I can easily acquire food and pay part of school fees for the child. Consequently, I just need to keep on plowing back a good portion of the profit from my tailoring shop to make it grow.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
The additional goal I have in my life is to buy a goat and add to the few that my mother owns. Since goats grow and reproduce faster, in a span of two years, I will be able to have a number of goats which I will, in turn, sell to begin rearing a cow. I have been dreaming to have my own cow and I believe this dream will one day become a reality in my life.

In addition, she has been desiring to build a house for the past three years although, this has not been realized due to financial constraints.
