Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I got the money message, I started jumping whilst calling the name of GD. I did know what to do.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
My family life has changed alot. I got the transfer whilst I was sleeping on the floor. I used old clothes as mat and then I used mosquito net as my blanket. Currently am sleeping like a king in matress and bed with proper beddings
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
When I got the cash transfer I bought matress, biscycle, 12 bags of cement and 4 bags of maize.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I have welcomed the project and this money means alot to me. My house is only plastered outside but the floor is made of sand. I will use the money to buy cement to renovate the floor of my house. In addition to that I will buy food for my family, clothes and a bike for my grandchildren to use when going to school.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I can say I am sad most of the times because I dont have enough to eat but I get happy when I find enough food for everyone at home.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest challenge I have is finding enough money to buy food for me and my family. Since I depend on casual labour which is mostly found during the farming season, Its hard for me to provide for my family when I dont find any piece of work.
