Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was very happy when I saw a message of the cash transfer. By then I had a lot of problems and the money meant that my problems would be solved.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The money came when I did not have enough food so I used the money to buy 10 bags of maize. Right now there is no hunger in my home. I also used part of the money to buy fertilizer because I had no fertilizer to apply to my maize. On top of that, I bought iron sheets which I would like to use to renovate my house. The house I live in is too small to accomodate the whole family so I am planning on building a bigger one.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I used the money to buy fertilizer which I applied to my maize. I also bought a matress, iron sheets and glasses which I will use to renovate my house.
