In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, what GiveDirectly did well was giving out unconditional transfers which enabled us to buy things that we needed most like cattle.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is currently different than it would have been if I never received the transfer in that, I have managed to send my grandchild to school after two days stay at home because of the fee arrears and bought building materials; I am now on my way to owning a decent house since the current one is very old.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer on buying two sheep that are like my assets. I can sell them when need be. The remaining amount I spent on buying a sack of corn for my family consumption and incurred the rest in my vegetable business.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was in the market going on with my everyday business of selling vegetables when I heard the phone ring and confirmed that it was money from GiveDirectly. I talked to myself and said “My God has blessed my house” I ran to my house and asked my husband to pray about it which he did. We were so happy and exited about the money. God has blessed us. I was so happy.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I am able to get profits from the vegetable business as I invested some of it in the business. This has made my family get their daily needs which is opposed to before.
