How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has positively changed in that, I have built an iron roofed house that I am planning to move in after the plaster soon. Before receiving this transfer, I didn't have enough money to build a permanent house in a short period of time because I totally depended on agricultural produce that have been greatly affected by climate change(reduced rainfall) hence poor yields.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done well to give me money that I spent to build a permanent has and to pay off a debt that I had. GiveDirectly has only done good on my side.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to pay of a debt and got back my pieces of land that had acted as security. I also bought Windows, a door and 8 bags of cement, I have not spent UGX 500,000 but I intend to spend it for plastering my house and to seek medical treatment for myself.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
My life's daily greatest difference is seeing my house when it's complete. This is so because it will relieve my family and I from the burden of buying grass every year and sleeping in a leaking house.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
When I recieved my money, I felt happy for having got the transfer that was changing my life for better. I was going to build a permanent house and shift from the leaking grass thatched one.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent most (Ugx 1600000) of my first transfer to buy building materials such as bricks, cement, sand , nails, timber, ironsheets and paying labor that I am currently using to build my house. I then spent the remaining Ugx 100000 to buy food that I use to feed my family and the laborers.
