How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been if I would have not received transfers from Givedirectly because from the transfer, I have completed my house which have been under construction for the past two years. I am now very certain that I am soon going to start living in my permanent house which is more spacious than the one I have been living in.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly does well in embracing openness and also sending money to individuals through mobile phones. This has greatly reduced incidences of theft that could have arose supposed the money was given in public. However, sinec GiveDirectly came in our area, there is nothing it does not do well.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to buy windows and doors for my house which I had started building two years ago but had not completed due to lack of funds. I have not been feeling at peace to see it in that state for long. I am hopeful that once fixing is completed, I will move in together with my family. I had been living in a mud house which becomes worse and unsuitable for habitation during long rainy season due to uncontrollable floods.
