What do you plan to do with the cash transfer?
I have a family of eight members with six being children. I do casual jobs making little income which caters for food and school fees for the children. I live in a small one room house with my wife which also serves as the kitchen. I cannot even accommodate my visitors. I will use $5500 to build a two room house spacious enough to accommodate the family and also visitors. I will also use $300 to clear school fees for the children who are at both secondary and primary. This will help them settle at school and improve their performances.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My family and I have never gone to the hospital for the past six months. This is something that makes me happy despite being poor. My neighbors have been to the hospital almost every week. I am happy to be alive and healthy together with my family.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Housing is the challenge I am currently facing in life. I live in a one room house which also serves as the kitchen together with my wife. Children have a separate structure though it is not spacious. It has one room. I cannot even accommodate my visitors. Most of the time I seek shelter from neighbors so as to accommodate my visitors whenever they come.
