Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
I am very happy because the cash transfer has empowered us to construct a permanent house. This is an achievement to us since we have lived in a grass thatched house for three years. It is very expensive to maintain a grass thatched house. The cash transfer has improved our living standards for instance I bought nice bedding for the family.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I received a mobile money message early morning. My husband read it and we were both very excited because the family had responsibilities that required money.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I purchased bricks worth UGX 900000, and iron sheets worth UGX 540000. I bought house hold items such as a mattress worth UGX 100000 and utensils worth UGX 20000. The balance will be spent on paying the builders.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means I will be able to build an iron roofed house. I have always wanted to own one but I did not have the capacity to do so. I had no money to buy materials.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am happiest in the noon time when I am seated with my children. We make fun and advise one another accordingly.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I am faced with lack of money to pay school fees for my children. Some of them have had to drop out of school because I failed to raise money that could take care of their education needs. I still have a number of children going to school at the primary level but providing for them is not easy. Some times they are sent out of school for failure to pay fees in time.
