What did you spend your third transfer on?
I used a portion of the transfer to buy a cow. I invested a portion of the transfer in retail shop business. I also purchased foodstuffs for family consumption.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that I feel secured because I manged to buy and fix metallic door since the one I had was wooden.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, what GD does well is that it doesn't direct us on how to use the support. I'm not aware of what GD doesn't do well.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to construct a kitchen outside the main house. I also bought a cow to keep in my farm for milk. The remaining amount was spent on starting a business of selling daily household items such as sugar and milk in the village.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my life is that my kitchen offers a comfortable place to cook and also for the children to sleep.

I spent my first transfer on buying one bag of maize, food, a goat, a table and I also bought school uniforms for my children who are still in school

I felt very happy for receiving the cash because it gave me hope of buying and doing a few things that my heart desired like food and a few household items

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
Firstly, we plan to use part of the transfer to buy a water pump and pipes, that we intend to use to irrigate our farm, where we plan to grow tomatoes. Secondly, we intend to use another part to pay school fees for our child, whom we expect to join secondary school next year. Lastly, we plan to use the remaining amount to start a small shop for sustainability.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement I am very proud of is, having cultivated tomatoes, that we expect to sell, and earn some income for our family.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship we have faced is, inadequate income to start a small business.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the mornings, when I wake up feeling well.
