Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The most significant difference is that I acquired building materials that will enable the construction of a nice house. Currently, I am living in a small thatched house which is not suitable and uncomfortable.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The money was sent while I was asleep. However, a community member called me early morning inquiring if I had seen the mobile money message. I was very happy and excited at that moment. This was a blessing to me being the sole bread winner in the family.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first cash transfer to purchase bricks worth UGX 600000 and UGX 100000 for lumbering trees. The balance of UGX 1000000 I plan to spend it on purchasing other materials such as iron sheets, nails and for paying the builders.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means building a Permanent house. The house I stay in is grass thatched and it's costly to maintain. Building a permanent iron roofed house will reduce the stress of renovating the house almost every year and that money can be saved for other household needs. Owning a cow will also be one of my pressing needs. I will buy a cow that will act as an investment for my household as well as a source of food.
What is the happiest part of your day?
During day, the happiest part of it is when I have received a visitor in my compound. I stay a lone at home while my children are at school. My boy comes when they have come back from school or when I have received a visitor who will interact with me which helps my social life and esteem.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Paying school fees I my biggest hardship. I have two children one in secondary education and the other in primary. I have to engage in farming in order to raise fees but it is a risky venture. Some times, when drought sets in, the yields will be low hence inability to raise their fees.
