What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third transfer to buy sand, cement ans also paid laborers who renovated my house from mud to plastered. I bought tow steel windows and window panes which I have fixed on my house and the remaining amount, I spent to dig a pit latrine in my compound and also bought food for my family.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that, I now live in a plastered house and this makes me very happy. This would not have been possible without the transfer
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has brought alot of growth and development in our community through the transfers which has helped people to build houses, start businesses and also pay dowry. GiveDirectly should hold their barazas some three months before registration and finally sending the money

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer on building an iron roofed kitchen, bought a sofa set sits at 10,000 KES, a mattress and other little house items then used the rest on farming and paying debts.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I no longer face much financial hardships as before considering that my husband died years ago and left me with lots of burdens.

I spent my first cash transfer on paying a debt that I borrowed to buy farm inputs, paid hospital bill for my child and bought food with the remaining amount.
What are you planning to spend your upcoming transfer on?
I'm planning to spend my upcoming cash transfer on extending my house and on building my son a house. My current house is too small and my son always sleep at my neighbors place. This is normally challenging especially when my neighbor has visitors who are sleeping over.

I would like to use the transfer on buying household items like utensils, blankets and clothes for my family.l also intend to spend the transfer on paying school for my son joining form one next year.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
Being able to own a solar lighting system in my house is my proudest achievement.My children can now do their school home work without choking from fumes from a kerosene lamp we were using earlier.

My biggest hardship is making ends meet.l am the sole bread winner for my family and my income is low. I have to work extra hours to ensure my children eat two meals a day.
