How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been if I never received the money because I bought a bull for ploughing, I also took my children to school on time and we now sleep well.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, Give Directly did well to give us money directly through our phones on MTN mobile money. There is nothing they did not do well.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to a bull 950, 000ugx, I paid my children's school fees worth 600,000ugx. The balance of the money I used for buying household items.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is having received money with no stings attached. Which money has helped me to get back my land that I will use to cultivate commercially and generate more money to keep my children in school.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received my money, felt happy and relived. I knew most of the pressing financial issues were going to be solved.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
Since I had borrowed some money from our SACCO, I then used part of my transfer to pay that debt. I had used that money to pay school fees for my children who are in secondary school at 500,000 ugx. I also used my transfer in getting my garden back at 900,000 ugx. I had given out this land some time back in exchange for money to take my children to school. I am now still using the balance of 300,000 ugx to cater for some family responsibility.
