What does receiving this money mean to you?
Since 2016 I lost my only child leaving behind about six children. There is no means of sending these children to school. I took one of his sons to be with me as a means of helping their mother. Since I took him, I have not been able to send him to school due to financial problem. At age 9 he has not started school yet because of financial difficulties. I have tried many times to send him to school but age can't permit me do lot of hard works because my only source of income is farming. If I'm blessed to receive any help from Give Directly, I will establish a mini business and help send my grand child to school.
What is the happiest part of your day?
For the past six months and up to now, nothing has brought happiness to me. I spend most of my days in sorry since the death of my son. Life has become so difficult for my family because I have no one to help me and my grandchildren since the death of their father. Today, I have a little hope with the news of assistance that you people promised to bring to us if we are qualified.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My major challenge is finance. I barely find food for my grand child and me to eat. At times neighbours have to help us with food before getting a daily meal. Due to financial difficulties, my grandchild is still out of school.
