What does receiving this money mean to you?
Living in a village which is very far from town has a lot of disadvantages. The only way of surviving here is to depend on farming and over the years, our harvest has been declining due to the soil becoming infertile. Hence, this money willl be used to buy fertilizer and other needed farm inputs so as to harvest more and become food secure next year. In addition, the house too needs some renovations especially the roof and floor because it leaks sometimes in the rainy season. Children will also be assured of getting new clothes and their education paid for next term. I believe this money will change my life for the better.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest part of the day are those times when we gather as a family to have supper in the evening. It gives me joy and relief to know my family has food for that period of the day when others in the same area didn't afford to have a meal.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I have always desired to be able to feed my family and afford the basic needs such as food, clothes and good shelter for my family. Unfortunately, I have always encountered problems because this side of the district, there are no opportunities to embark so that I find extra income for my family.
