How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Currently, my life is really different compared to the last four months. The consistent monthly transfer I have been receiving from GiveDirectly has made the school fees payment easy. I am no longer struggling too much to make my children comfortable in their school since the school management already know that I am GiveDirectly beneficiary and have been patient with me whenever am required to clear the school fees.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
Currently, two of my children are preparing for the final exams in secondary school. This has set us on the lreparation to ensure that they smoothly transition to their next level of education once the results are out. We now have a new goal to start a savings together with my wife so that we can use the savings in paying them school fees when they join their respective colleges.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Apart from the household goods which I was buying, school fees was also a struggle to me since I have three children in school. I used to work extra hard in the casual labor to ensure that I get enough money to settle all bills. Currently my children are schooling well since the money we both receive in our household is enough to pay part of the school fees. Seeing my children settled in school without being sent home to collect the areas is the biggest difference in my daily life. Thanks to GiveDirectly for making this possible for us.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect to have raised a good sum of money to enable my two sons to join their colleges.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was four months ago in that I am able to meet my goals in time. For the first time, I was able to plant at the right time because I had all the required inputs. I had enough seeds and fertilizers. I was even able to afford the labor and cultivated a larger area of land. This will guarantee me enough food for my family. I will also have enough sacks to sell and earn me more income. I thank Give Directly for giving me the support because I could not have achieved all these goals
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goals for the next four months is to save some amount to enable me to buy a goat. I plan to buy a goat because they are usually easy to keep. They require less attention and can survive in any climatic condition. They also reproduce twice a year which makes it the best investment to indulge in. I am planning to sell the young ones in future so that I get enough capital to enable me buy a dairy cow. Once I buy the cow I know I will never be poor again
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is that I do plant on time and at the right season because I have the money to buy seeds and fertilizers. My family has enough food to eat and even sell the surplus at the market to meet other additional needs for the family. Before I used to do so many casual jobs in the village but the small amount I could get was not even enough to enable meet to meet the basic needs and the same time to buy seeds and fertilizers. I used to struggle so much and I had no time for my family but nowadays I work on my own farm and I have enough time to interact with my family and even relatives.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
Since I got enough harvest in the last season, I am planning to save the proceeds I got from the sale of maize so that I cultivate a bigger acreage of land next planting season. I saw how important and profitable farming was, especially maize farming, and I think it will be wiser if I invested in this project more and more
