How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Although I have not yet completed to build my house, my life is different in that soon I will be able to complete it and move in to it. This will relive me from the stress of yearly renovating my current grass thatched house that keeps leaking. In addition to this, my standard of living has improved as I was able to buy some household items like bed, mattress, and bed sheets that will give me a comfortable sleep as compared to before where I had to pile up old clothes to make a bed.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done well by giving me money that has enabled me to uplift my standard of living. However, there is nothing bad that GiveDirectly has done.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second more building materials such as nine bags of cement, aggregate, sand, two doors, two windows, nails, iron bars, iron sheets that I will use to complete my house that I started building using the first transfer. I then bought a cow of Ugx 600000. I also bought house hold items such a mattress, a bed, bed sheets and source pans. I am saving up Ugx 450000 that I plan to use to pay the labor that will do the completion of my house.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
When I receive this money, I will build a low cost ironsheets house because currently the grass thatched house we are living in leaks whenever it rains. I will also buy nice household items like furniture, beddings, utensils and electronics. If there is any balance, I will buy some cows and goats because I'm planning for a livestock raising business to sustain our household.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening. This is usually the time I am free and have time for my family.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced in my life is lack of money to take proper care of our household's demands like food, education for the children and medical care.
