How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My first goal was to buy a machine for my charcoal business, through the transfers received from GiveDirectly, I was able to achieve that goal which makes my charcoal business to improve; my new goal is to build my own house because the one that I am staying in belongs to extended family.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly does well by showing us respect throughout the program, I also noticed that the program is truthful and fair as well; I don't know what GiveDirectly is not doing well because they are doing everything well here.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have saved my most recent transfer so that I can add it to the money that I am generating from my charcoal business to build my house. I invested in the business so that I can raise more money to achieve my dream.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Firstly, before and after I received my first Give Directly transfer I never had any plans. I started making plans after I received my first Give Directly transfer, I later involved my family in my plans. My first transfer I was able to paid my kids school fees and buy machine to cut down stick to burn coal. I used to use man power to cut sticks to burned coal for more than ten years, I'm very grateful to give directly for allowing me to buy my first Power Sau. Secondly, I have started saving some money to buy piece of land in Monrovia for my children's future, all thanks to Give directly. With my second and third transfer, I'm completing my house in my village, I'm also planning to start a small business in my village but I'm waiting for my last transfer. Give directly has been our strength for the past months and we're so very happy for this wonderful project.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
To build my house. It will make me to be free from being in family house.
What is the happiest part of your day?
One time, I was very broke and suddenly my wife sent me money and half bag of rice from Monrovia which helped me while I was burning coal in the bush for 1 month.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
I'm finding it difficult to get money. I have to go in the bush and cut down trees, burn them to make coal and then sell before I get money to support my family and I.
