I have always wished to own a dairy cow but I did not have the money to purchase it. I requested my neighbor to give me one of his dairy cows for some time until I purchase one. This enabled me to cut the daily cost that I used to incur on purchasing milk. I rely majority on small-scale farming, I plant maize and beans on my farm. These are mainly for consumption and sometimes I would sell the surplus to meet basic household items that we were missing. I had no other steady source of income to enable me to purchase a dairy cow. I spent $300 on purchasing a heifer, This has given me hope in that when it gives birth in the next few months I will get enough milk for my family. I will sell the surplus milk to earn some income to pay school fees for my children. I am so grateful for the support because were it not GiveDirectly this could have taken quite some time. I spent $21 on plowing my farm and purchasing seeds. I hope to get a good harvest since I was able to plant during the right season. The rest of the money I spent on food and clothes for my family members.

The registration was perfectly done and most of the people were so grateful. The training also was done well and most of the people invested the money wisely in different projects since the money was unconditional. I do not find anything that GiveDirectly did not do well.
