How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My new goal is to renovate my house because its breaking down gradually. I had lots things want to do with the money at first but now I can buy some materials for the renovation.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly help old people to improve their lives by giving them money and allowing us to do what we want best with the money.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent my money puchasing zinc and cement for the renovation. I also bought food for the house and I'm so grateful to God for this.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was sitting in front of my house that afternoon when my son came running to me that Give Directly was sent my transfer. I felt very happy when I heard this good news because I have been planning all through my life to build myself a house but I could not afford the cost on my own and I think with this great help I can now undertake my house project.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
At first, I have been surviving on farming but now I can easily get food to eat without me doing hard work compared to before.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
When I received the money, I will build my congo (Hut), the balance, I buy my market and be selling my small small thing, buy clothes, because I'm old, I can't do anything now, no one is there to help me. Because I don't have man to make farm for me, so I will used the money to pay people to make farm for me.
What is the happiest part of your day?
When I'm stranded, some of my children can be food and clothes for me all make m happy in the past months, these few days, I my sister give me mattress to be sleeping on it, because I was sleeping on palm thatch all these make me happy in the past months.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My challenges in life, is that nobody is there is to help me, when she fixed the brooms, sometime, they can buy it, she don't have anybody to help her. To get daily meal, it can be too difficult for us.
